Kirana, located in the Rovereto Technology Park (Trentino Sviluppo SpA) at 70 km from Verona, is a company specialized in the development of laser micromachining processes, offering complete solutions from feasibility studies through subcontract manufacturing services. The founding partners, leveraging expertise acquired over many years of experience in the sector, formed in 2012 a new company focused on micro-laser processing, with the vision of becoming the Italian reference center for this technology. Unique on the national scene, Kirana allows customers to access the latest laser micromachining processes to gain a competitive advantage in emerging microtechnology sectors such as microelectronics, micromechanics, automotive, aerospace, energy, biotechnology and medical. In fact, the capabilities of directly machining a wide range of micron scale features in a large range of materials, makes novel laser technology more and more competitive than other competitor techniques. Our expertise includes processes such as drilling micro-holes, precision cutting small parts, surface micro-structuring, ablation of thin film, micro-engraving and micro-milling. Thanks to a number of dedicated laser micromachining applications laboratories, we are able to machine micron scale features in a wide range of materials (metals, ceramics, polymers, glass, semiconductors, composites), choosing from time to time the most appropriate laser source. Kirana offers a complete service from feasibility study through to provide a complete turnkey solution for many applications. We can propose job-shop activities on prototypes, pre-series and lots of production. Moreover, in some special cases, Kirana supplies special laser systems, thanks to strategic partnership.
